Flower Care Guide
Help your bouquets thrive in your home. Our experts share the secrets to keeping your floral arrangements vibrant, fragrant, and fresh for as long as possible.
Basic Care Tips
Use sharp shears to cut 2cm from the bottom at a 45-degree angle to open more surface area for drinking.
Trim Stems
Ensure your vase is spotless before filling. Bacteria is the number one enemy of fresh blooms.
Clean Vase
Change the water every 1-2 days. If the water looks cloudy, it’s time to refresh the vase.
Fresh Water
Keep your flowers in a cool spot. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to heating vents or ripening fruit.
Avoid Heat
Rose Care Guide
To keep your roses fresh, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle under water and remove leaves that fall below the water line. Use lukewarm water with flower food for optimal longevity and vibrant petals.
Mixed Bouquets
Check mixed bouquets daily and remove wilting stems to protect the remaining blooms. Since varieties drink at varied rates, completely refresh the water every two days for a cleaner environment.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
Why are my flowers drooping fast?
Flowers often droop due to air bubbles in the stem or poor hydration. To fix this, trim an inch off the stems at a sharp angle under water and immediately place them in a clean vase filled with fresh, cool water.
What should I do if the vase water is cloudy?
Cloudy water is a sign of bacterial growth, which blocks water absorption and shortens flower life. Empty your vase, clean it thoroughly with soap, and refill it with fresh water and flower food every two days.
Why are the petals starting to brown?
Browning is usually caused by exposure to heat, direct sunlight, or fruit. Move your flowers to a cooler spot away from windows and bowls of ripening fruit, as the ethylene gas they release speeds up aging.
How do I resolve general wilting?
General wilting can often be reversed by re-hydrating the entire bloom. Try submerged re-cutting: trim the stems while holding them under water, then let the bouquet sit in a deep water bath for 30 minutes in a cool place.
